American Senior Benefits Association Recognizes Importance of Long-Term Care Awareness
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Chicago, IL - December 6, 2011 - In recognition of the importance of the 3in4 Need More Long-Term Care Awareness initiative, ASBA announced today its support of the campaign, which seeks to educate the public about the critical need for long term care planning.
The 3in4 Need More campaign centers on the fact that 3 people out of every 4 will at some point need more than just traditional health insurance. They will need some type of long-term care. ASBA's member communications will support the 3in4 Need More campaign and direct members to educational resources found at the campaign's site, www.ltcasba.com and click on the 3in4 Need More link to request your free copy of "Dignity For Life - The Five Things To Know Before Buying Long Term Care Insurance".
"We will use the 3in4 campaign to spread an important message," says Bill Hill, Sr., ASBA's President and Chairman of the Board. "Every family needs protection against the financial repercussions of long-term illness or injury. While there is a great need for this kind of protection, 90 percent of us have virtually no long term care protection beyond Medicaid, which is intended for those who are short of financial resources. A greater percentage of us lack long-term care insurance than lack regular health insurance."
"ASBA is happy to support the 3in4 Need More campaign, as well as the American people, in this important effort," says Hill, who also encourages others to join the 3in4 Need More campaign.
With offices nationwide and nearly 550 experts available, LTCFP is breaking new ground in the long term care education field. More information is available at www.ltcfp.com. LTCFP was the founder of the "3 in 4 Need More" campaign and a co-founder of the nonprofit which runs the campaign, the 3in4 Association.
